Organized by the Moroccan Federation of Leather Industries (FEDIC) in partnership with the Moroccan Centre for Export Promotion (Export Morocco), MaroCuir stands and positions itself as the only trade show of the leather industry in Morocco.
Despite the global economic crisis and its negative impact on exports from competing countries in leather, Morocco is one of very few countries to have recorded an increase in 2009 (+2.6%) compared to previous year, ranking 7th in footwear supplier of the European Union.
Such a result in a slowing economy, will strengthen our approach, encourages us to further develop our aggressive marketing to maintain and strengthen our position in the international market, and allow us to be among the first to catch a wave when the global economy recovers.

The leather industry occupies a strategic position in the Moroccan economy with a significant weight in jobs (40,000) and a significant contribution to industrial exports (€ 320 million). Although present throughout the territory of Morocco, leather industries are mostly located in the Greater Casablanca and Fez (respectively 54% and 34% of manufacturing units) and Tangier.

The first two editions of MaroCuir have really kept all their promises, and despite a difficult economic environment.Indeed, the show revealed its dynamism, vitality and confirmed its position as the largest gathering of players in the leather industry in Morocco.
MaroCuir 2009 has been a qualitative and quantitative leap in terms of both its exhibitors and visitors, who have clearly expressed their appreciation for this event, which was characterized by its professionalism, its various activities, all in a friendly atmosphere. This 2nd edition brought together 122 exhibitors (+38% compared to 2008) including 41 foreigners of various origins: Spain (16) China (13), Italy (6), Portugal (4), Tunisia (1), United Kingdom (1). This strong foreign participation demonstrates the attractiveness of Morocco and reinforces the international dimension of the show.
This 3rd edition aims to present a diversified and complementary nature to provide a comprehensive solution for buyers and outsourcers. Thus, the visitors can, in one place, working from upstream to downstream, materials for the manufacture of collections consistency and efficiency in the undisputed world of leather.
